Isomer Chart

Isomer Chart - An optical isomer is a chemical pair with identical optical characteristics. Isomers are extremely important in the development of pharmaceuticals, as typically, only one isomer of a particular molecule will exert the desired effect. The word “isomer” comes from the greek words “isos,” meaning equal, and “meros,” meaning part. Typically, the tautomers of a compound exist together in equilibrium. A tautomer of a compound refers to the isomer of the compound which only differs in the position of protons and electrons. The meaning of isomer is one of two or more compounds, radicals, or ions that contain the same number of atoms of the same elements but differ in structural arrangement and properties. Optical isomers are two compounds that have the same number and type of atoms, bonds, and spatial. It has two conformational isomers, with the two chlorines on the same. It must lie in an energy well. How do isomers differ from one another.
